ATTENTION

ATTENTION CCOMs, new and existing CCOM applicants, Authorized Training Providers, and everyone registered with the USCC professional certification program:

On April 29, 2018, the US Composting Council's certification database contractor had their servers attacked by a ransomware virus. Ransomware does not steal any data, so rest assured that your personal data is safe. It encrypts it, making both the data and the software unavailable and unusable. The ransomware not only encrypted the main site, mycert.certificationsuscc.org, but all backups going back 6 months. For more info on ransomware, click HERE: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ransomware

We are working with the database company to recover as much data as possible as we are working to build a new database and customer portal. Fortunately, we have separate backups of much of the key data. At this time, we do not have an estimate of when the recovered data and the new database will be available. In a “worst case scenario”, we won't be live again until after Labor Day. Therefore, the USCC is putting a HOLD on the CCOMTM certification program. Your CCOM credential is still valid through the expiration date and when the new portal goes live, the months that the program was on HOLD will be added to your expiration date.

If you are a new visitor to the Certification Program and wish to receive notification of when the application process is open again, please click here.

Thank you for your understanding!

The mission of the USCC Certification Commission is to develop and administer national, valid, credible, vendor-neutral certification programs for organics recycling professionals which enhance the profession of organics recycling facility management and in turn benefit the community business and environmental outcomes. The initial development of the CCOM™ was by the Composting Council Research and Education Foundation thanks to a grant from the 11th Hour Project.
